Adult, Child Struck by Car; Beer Burglary; and 'Duster' Overdose: Crime Blotter

Adult, child hit in Bath Road Accident

On June 16 at 7:30 p.m., a car reportedly struck an adult and a small child while traveling westbound on Bath Road near Keyser Parkway.

The adult was taken to Akron City Hospital and the child was taken to Akron Children's Hospital.

Fortunately, the pair sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to a press release posted to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department Facebook page. 

Police are investigating the accident. 

Busch Light burglary


A 16-year-old Munroe Falls resident was arrested June 11 after he tried to steal nine cases of Busch Light beer from a residence in the 800 block of Clover Avenue. 

According to the police report, the teen was spotted slipping through an unlocked window of the residence. When police responded, he fled on foot but was snagged by officers.

The teen was charged with burglary, a second-degree felony, and obstructing official police business, a second-degree misdemeanor.

A 22-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was hospitalized June 11 after sucking in too much "duster," which is typically inhaled to induce an alcohol-like high.

The man was picked up in the 2700 block of Northland Street and treated at Summa Western Reserve Hospital.

He was charged with abusing harmful intoxicants, a fifth-degree felony, and disorderly conduct, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
