ReplyI would be absolutely interested in participating and helping out with getting it together. I have considered participating in the Chamber of Commerce community expo next month, but the cost deterred me as well as the inability to bring any of my merchandise to the event (just pictures and displays). Random thoughts I have at this point: 1.) Quirk Cultural Center has a room used for events (weddings, dances, craft shows) that could work if we wanted to do it off site at a very reasonable price. 2.) A scavenger hunt devised to get customers to visit each store involved, this way they are actually IN your store. 3.) I like the idea of the Chocolate Walk, or something similar that allows all participating businesses to have a common thread for the week/weekend.
Either way, I think having it in one location would be beneficial because then people would know right where to go and see all of us in one place. It would be very similar to the Community Expo, except we could bring merchandise and actually sell it that day/weekend.
I like this idea very much :)

ReplyI've never seen the inside, but simply because of the unique exterior, I feel it could work great as a center for the arts/cultural center/ community center/ etc. Although, I'm not sure that would bring in any great revenue...
