I am a Clinical Psychologist, gradually easing out of my private practice of forty years and just as gradually spending more time in San Clemente to both spend time with grandchildren and get more involved in two of my passions.

My first passion is my Blog at RuledByFear.com which is focused on helping individuals experiencing significant anxiety, phobias, panic attacks or obsessive-compulsive disorder as well as those paralyzed by abuse.

My second passion is to grow in my involvement of protecting children and young adults from physical, mental-emotional and sexual abuse, especially that which occurs within families.

I am pleased to say that with the help of some very involved associates, whom we call The Benhaven Group, we have been successful in finding a home for one very courageous homeless child, only twelve years of age, and we have made sure her abusers were prosecuted.

In another case, we have followed an abuser to California who had successfuly silenced his victim and witnesses with threats and fear tactics. This father, a narcissistic sociopath at best, knows we are on his heels and we have made the appropriate authorities aware of his past behavior. Even though he could not be prosecuted at the time, he is being watched.

As I prepare to spend more time in the San Clemente area, I hope to meet others who may share in my passions to protect our children.
