Several young students stood in the local spotlight on Monday after qualifying for and running in the Youth National Cross Country Championship earlier this month.
The Cuyahoga Falls Youth Cross Country team, better known as the Running Black Tigers, stood up and were recognized at Monday's Cuyahoga Falls City Council meeting. Head coach John Martell called each student up and put them in the local spotlight after 20 of the first to fifth graders qualified for and ran in the Youth National Cross Country Championship in Terra Haute, Ind. earlier this month.
