UPDATE: Graham Road Crash Sends 5 to Hospital

5-car crash happened before 9 a.m.

At least five people were injured, including three juveniles, in a five-car crash that closed Graham Road in Stow this morning. Update: Graham Road was re-opened around 12:30 p.m., according to the Stow Police Department Facebook page.  Stow Police Chief Louis Dirker said the crash happened at about 8:30 a.m. near Englewood Drive. Dirker said it's unclear what caused the crash at this point, and the extent of the victims' injuries is unknown. "They transported five people between Cuyahoga Falls EMS and Stow EMS," he said. UPDATE: 90 Exposed to Carbon Monoxide Leak at Sto-Kent Family Entertainment

Several area fire departments, including Cuyahoga Falls, are assisting Stow at the Fishcreek Road business.

UPDATE April 4, 9:04 p.m. The after-school programs at Sto-Kent Family Entertainment are canceled today after a carbon monoxide leak at the bowling alley exposed as many as 85-90 people to fumes this morning. Heather Lajzer, whose family owns the business, posted on its Facebook page that it's unclear if the alley will reopen for league play Thursday night. Stow Fire Capt. Mark Stone said the 350 parts-per-million of carbon monoxide detected within the building is well below the deadly levels of 3,500 parts-per-million but is still high enough to cause vomiting, loss of consciousness and other health concerns. Five people were hospitalized Tuesday following a major car wreck on State Road, near Seasons Road.

Updated April 2, 6:35 p.m. Five people were hospitalized after a semi collided with an SUV on State Road at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Cuyahoga Falls Police Chief Tom Pozza. Upon collision, the semi veered off the road and slammed through Alro Steel, located at 4787 State Rd. After impact, diesel fuel began leaking from the rig and a hazardous materials team, along with the Ohio EPA, were called to the scene to clean up the fuel. "Falls Fire Capt. George Sewald said three people — including two preschool-age children — were injured in one SUV whose entire side was ripped off in the collision," according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Man With 3 Prior DUI Convictions Caught Again, Drunk and with Marijuana

A 40-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was pulled over at the intersection of Graham and Fishcreek roads on Jan. 7 after running a red light, according to a Stow police report. The officer clocked Daniel Pivarski driving 60 mph in a 35 mph, zone, the report said. After running the red light, he was pulled over. Officers could tell Pivarski was heavily intoxicated and he was holding a mug with an iced mixed drink in it, the report said. Pivarski also had a jar with two small bags of marijuana in it. The man refused a breath test. Police charged Pivarski with drunken driving, speeding, running a red light and possession of drugs. Pivarski has three prior drunken driving convictions, according to police.
