Storms with heavy rain and thunder expected across the region.
Keep your umbrellas handy this afternoon! The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Summit County early Monday afternoon. Forecasters upgraded the watch to a warning. Click here to watch the storms pass through town-- you can see the radar live via the WKYC.com interactive map. The watch is in effect until 5 p.m. Monday afternoon. Damaging winds are the main threat and forecasters say torrential downpours are also a possibility.

The Thursday forecast is off to a wet start. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Summit County until 11 a.m. Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Highs could reach 91 degrees. Click here to see the forecast for the week ahead.

Showers and storms could bring gusting winds and large hail.
Keep your umbrella handy, the National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Summit County. Large hail and damaging winds are the largest threat, otherwise expect cloudy skies through mid morning with highs near the 90s and a 50-percent chance for rain.
