Richard Frederick Jr., 25, of Streetsboro, was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to rape and gross sexual imposition charges.
Richard Frederick Jr. was sentenced Monday to life in prison for raping a five-year-old girl earlier this year. Frederick, 25, of Streetsboro, pled guilty to rape, a first-degree felony; and gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony, according to April Wiesner, chief spokeswoman of the Summit County Prosecutor's Office. Frederick repeatedly raped the five-year-old child between January and May of this year, said Wiesner. He was prosecuted by Sherri Bevan Walsh and sentenced by Judge Mary Margaret Rowlands in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas. Frederick will be eligible for parole in 2037. Frederick, 24, of Streetsboro, was arrested June 8 for the alleged rape of a Falls child. He's being held in Summit County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Richard Frederick Jr., 24, of Streetsboro, said he’s not guilty of the multiple sexual assault charges that have been filed against him, according to his lawyer. “(Richard) Frederick has entered a plea of not guilty to all of the charges that have been filed against him,” said Frederick’s attorney, Scott Rilley. “He has agreed and consented to the matter being bound over to the Summit County Grand Jury for its determination. That process is usually about a four-week process. If the grand jury indicts him, then he will maintain his not guilty plea down in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas in Akron.” The move toward the grand jury came after Rilley waived a preliminary hearing scheduled for this past Wednesday in Stow Municipal Court. …

Richard Frederick Jr. is being held in Summit County Jail for allegedly raping a victim under the age of 13, and there’s a chance he may never leave prison. Frederick, 24, of Streetsboro, was charged with rape and gross sexual imposition last week and could face a life sentence if convicted, according to a Summit Court of Common Pleas clerk. Frederick is scheduled to go before Stow Municipal Court Judge Kim Hoover for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, June 13. His bond has been set at $250,000. On June 8, Falls police issued the first- and third-degree felony rape charges and arrested him in the middle of a shift at Hungry Howie’s on State Road, said police Lt. Steve Guldeman.

Following an investigation by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, Richard Frederick Jr., 24, of Streetsboro, was arrested for allegedly raping a victim under the age of 13. Frederick was charged with one count of rape, a first-degree felony, and three third-degree felony counts of gross sexual imposition, according to a police press release. He was taken into custody and is being held in Summit County Jail.

The sad thing is up until this happened he was a nice kid. He came from a divorced family but grew up in a nice neighborhood and was not abused. I still can't understand what snapped in his head to make him do such a horrible thing. You can't always blame the parents, some people just go bad.   more ›
