Wind Chill Advisory Remains in Effect Throughout Northeast Ohio

The wind chill is expected to drop as low as -10 degrees below zero.

It's frigid out there, and the arctic weather won't lighten up until Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.  Forecasters predict wind chills could approach -10 degrees today with winds of 20 to 30 mph, and said a wind chill advisory is in effect throughout Northeast Ohio till 11 a.m. Wednesday.  There's a 60 percent chance that 1 to 2 inches of snow could fall Tuesday in Cuyahoga Falls. Freezing temps are expected throughout the rest of the week. Good news is, temps will warm up somewhat by next week when they rise to 40-plus degrees.

Wind Chill Advisory Issued; 1-3 Inches of Snow Possible Monday

The National Weather Service reports the wind chill makes it feel like -11 degrees outside.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for the region, and predicts snow accumulation of around 1-3 inches Monday night. Wind gusts could get as fast as 29 mph today, reports the National Weather Service. The daytime snow accumulation is about 1 inch. Tonight's low is 7 degrees.  The snow is caused by an arctic airmass that is moving into the area. Its cold air combined with the low pressure across the Great Lakes will allow for the possibility of persistent lake effect snow across Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania. WEATHER ALERT: Heavy Snowfall, High Winds Expected Wednesday

A major winter storm is expected to hit Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn, Bath, Stow, and the rest of Summit County, on Wednesday.

Updated 9:17 p.m., Dec. 25 A major snowstorm will hit Summit County starting Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.   Forecasters have predicted 6 to 10 inches of snow -- possibly mixed with sleet -- and 20 to 30 mph winds. Chance of precipitation: 100 percent.  The winter storm warning will be in effect from 7 a.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday. Temperatures will hover around 31 degrees throughout the day. Across the region  A blizzard warning is in effect for counties across Northeast Ohio, including: Cuyahoga, Lorain, Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Lake and the lakeshore communities of Ashtabula County, WEWS reports.
