April Fools' Day is Friday, but Frugal Families aren't so easily fooled any day of the year. Check out some of the deals we've dug up this week. No fooling. • The Exchange, 3107 W. Recent releases such as The Fighter, The Social Network and Due Date are available, including some used titles, ranging from $17 to $22 in DVD and Blu-Ray. Older titles are available as well, including great bargains for $1 to $2.50 per disc. St. Patrick’s Day story hour for the kids; a lot of bread for a little dough!

In some parts of the country, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, is revered as a national holiday. Some cities dye rivers green for the occasion. Akron will jump the gun a bit this year with a St. Patrick’s Day parade at noon on Saturday, March 12, on South Main Street. It’s free. March 17 is a little more low-key elsewhere. Of course finding good deals isn't restricted to St. Patrick's day. Here are a few bargains:  • Barnes & Noble, 4015 Medina Rd., Fairlawn, 330-665-5199. Barnes & Noble has a St. Patrick’s Day Story Hour for the younger set at 10 a.m. March 17. We just ate at Steak n Shake two weeks ago, the one in Cuyahoga Falls. We couldn't believe how delicious it was and when my boyfriend looked at the check he said "Wow, I'm used to paying a lot more than this when we go out to eat."   more ›
