UPDATE: Cuyahoga Falls High School on 'Place and Secure Status'
The local high school has been put on a "place and secure status," according to a recorded AlertNow phone message.
Updated 4:16 p.m. At 11:30 a.m., Cuyahoga Falls High School was put on a "place and secure status," according to an AlertNow message from Principal Anne Alfano. The message stated that school officials have been in contact with Cuyahoga Falls Police, and they believe there is no immediate threat. Until a final determination is reached, students will be kept inside their classrooms. Just after 1 p.m. Monday, the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools District sent out a second AlertNow message informing parents that "place and secure status" is not a lockdown. I say arm a few teachers (after intense training of using a firearm and passing a qualification shooting skills test). The other thing is enforcing the death penalty for and perhaps making any violent offense a death penalty as well as any crime against a child.
