Missing motorcycle A 26-year-old Kent woman called Cuyahoga Falls police on April 20 after her 2001 Honda Rebel motorcycle, helmet and bicycle were stolen from a garage in the 2800 block of Norma Street. Estimated loss: $2,300. Don't cry wolf On April 17 at 7:58 p.m., a woman called 911 and reported a man had stormed into her residence -- located in the 4300 block of Riverview Road -- and threatened her with a gun stuck in his waistband. Several police officers rushed to the scene and quickly realized it was a prank call. An apparently coincidental series of vehicles being used to damage lawns and parks has led to two arrests. Criminal damaging • Tyler J. Davis of Cuyahoga Falls was arrested on charges of criminal damaging after his Jeep was stuck in ruts at Preston Park, 650 Taylor Ave., at about 10 p.m. Oct. 20. Damage has not been estimated. • An unidentified vehicle caused about $100 in damage to grass at Indian Mound Park, 1552 Bailey Rd., at about 9:30 p.m. • Police received reports of a lawn being “turfed” on the 1900 block of Searl St. at about 3 a.m. Oct. 20; the caller told police the car had gotten stuck in the lawn. A resident of the 2000 block of 25th Street reported early Jan. 29 that she sent $1,500 to a seller on eBay, a popular online shopping and auction website, to purchase a Polaris all-terrain vehicle. In addition to the $1,500, the victim paid a $92 service fee. The so-called seller turned out to be a fraud, costing the victim a total of $1,592. The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department has a few leads on the case, but no suspects. Between 6:30 and 7:45 p.m. Friday, an unknown suspect removed a set of car keys from an unlocked locker at the Natatorium and stole the victim's black 2011 Chevy Equinox from the gym's parking lot.
