Police Blotter: Thousands of Dollars of Gold and Jewelry Reported Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft Criminal Trespass A woman living in the 2400 block of State Road told police that at around 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 27, her son went to the basement of the apartment building to find a white male sleeping on the floor. The man ran out of the rear of the building across State Road.  Burglary A woman living in the 2800 block of Revere Drive told police that sometime between Sept. 26 and 27, someone stole jewelry from her bedroom. Taken was a diamond ring and approximately two ounces of miscellaneous gold pieces. Total estimated loss is $10,500. Police said that there were no signs of forced entry.

Police Blotter: Men Hit With Tire Iron

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two men told police that around 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 24, a white male came up to them in the 2000 block of Chestnut Avenue and hit them with a tire iron. Both men had two-inch lacerations on the back of their heads which required medical attention and stitches. Police said the two men were extremely intoxicated, refused to fill out statements and refused prosecution. The suspect told police that he believed the two men were going to attack him, and hitting them with a tire iron was in self defense. The suspect filled out a witness statement, but police referred the two victims to the prosecutor's office.

Police Blotter: Two Arrested For Driving Stolen Car

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Sept. 24 around 6 p.m., Cuyahoga Falls police stopped a gold Chevy Trailblazer on Front Street and Englewood that was reported stolen from Akron. Jodilyn Lister was driving and Nicholas Anton was the passenger. Police said that numerous items that had been stolen from a car in Tallmadge were in the Trailblazer. These items include a GPS and a laptop. A JCPenney credit card stolen from Munroe Falls was also recovered. Lister was charged with one count of receiving stolen property (motor vehicle), a fourth-degree felony; two counts of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony; and two counts of receiving stolen property, a first-degree misdemeanor. Police Blotter: Circle K Robbed

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery An employee of the Circle K on Tallmadge Road told police that on Sept. 20 at around 2 a.m., a white male entered the store, told the clerk he had a gun and demanded all of the store's money. Estimated loss is approximately $90. Criminal Mischief A woman living in the 300 block of Falls Avenue told police that on Sept. 21 between 9 and 10:30 a.m., someone opened a FedEx package that was left at her residence. Police said that nothing was taken, but the woman would like to prosecute. Theft

Police Blotter: Urine Thrown at Taco Bell Employee

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Assault An employee working at the Taco Bell on Howe Avenue told police that on Sept. 16, an unknown black male threw a bottle of reported urine at them while working the drive thru window. The victim could not give a good description of the man and complained of eye irritation. Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department treated the victim on the scene. Vandalism An employee with Cuyahoga Falls Electric Service reports that someone broke a light on the west side of the substation building at 9 E. Portage Trail sometime between Sept. 18 and 19. A brick from the 2200 block of Front Street was used to damage the light. Police said that the suspect also broke the awning, a window, a fan and several sections of fencing in the 2200 block of Front Street …

Police Blotter: Man Jumps into Cuyahoga River to Evade Police, Doesn't Work

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police said that on Sept. 18, Cuyahoga Falls man Bradley Taylor, 20, ran from the police after being told to stop in the 2500 block of Hudson Drive. Taylor had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was suspected in current drug activity. Taylor jumped into the Cuyahoga River and attempted to swim away from police. He continued swimming even after being told by police he was under arrest. Police found Taylor's backpack which contained three cans of alcoholic beverages and a marijuana pipe. Taylor was eventually apprehended. Police said that on Sept. 18, Akron man Forrest Horvath, 22, impeded the ability of officers who were pursuing another suspect on foot by failing to leave the area when instructed at the intersection of Gaylord Grove…

Police Blotter: Man Robbed of Cash at Knife Point

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aggravated Robbery A man told police that on Sept. 6 at the intersection of Second Street and Broad Boulevard, three people robbed him at knife point. Police said that the amount of money taken was between $2,000 and $3,000. Vandalism A man working for the Parks and Recreation Department of Cuyahoga Falls told police that sometime between Sept. 5 and 6, someone moved a metal bleacher to the side of the restroom of Kennedy Park. The suspect also broke a sink, a skylight and the water supply line inside the restroom. Total estimated loss is $600. Assault A man told police that on Sept. 4 at the intersection of Broad Boulevard and 20th Street, someone exited his car, approached the victim and struck him on his right cheek. Police said there …

Police Blotter: Break-In at Batting Cage, Tokens Taken

Felonious Assault A Stow man told police that on Sept. 4, an unknown suspect struck him several times with an expandable stick/tool in the 4100 block of Wyoga Lake Road. The man suffered from several injuries, including a head laceration and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The man told police that he does not wish to prosecute at this time. Breaking and Entering A man told police that on sometime between Sept. 3 and 4, someone cut the lock to a batting cage at the Downview Sports Center. Police said it looks like the suspect tried to pry open the bottom section of the token box. The tokens are removed every night and the token box was found still locked. Police Blotter: Five Cars Broken Into on Maplewood Street

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Sept. 1, Cuyahoga Falls police reports reflect cars parked in the 2500 and 2600 blocks of Maplewood Street fell victim to a rash of thefts.  A woman told police that someone got into her unlocked car in the 2500 block of Maplewood Street but did not take anything from inside. Another victim told police that his car was also trespassed upon but he, too, reported nothing stolen. A third victim told police that someone entered his car and stole $4 in change.  A fourth victim told police that someone entered her car and stole $2 in change. And the last victim told police that the suspect broke into two of his cars and stole medication, a radio faceplate and a Kindle electronic book. Total estimated loss is $1,043.
