U.S. Marshals Searching for Gas Station Robber

Charles Farris III is the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s fugitive of the week.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Charles Farris III, the task force’s latest fugitive of the week.  Farris is wanted for charges including robbery, failure to register as a sex offender and parole violation, according to a press release from the task force. He is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Elyria Police Department and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.  Allegedly, Farris robbed a Speedway in Elyria last November. The incident took place early in the morning, around 3 a.m. on Nov. 10. Farris reportedly ordered a store clerk inside, and said he had a gun. Once inside, he told another clerk to give him money from the cash registers. Farris left …

U.S. Marshals Arrest Kidnapper Using Anonymous Tip

Bobby Thomas, one of the task force’s fugitives of the week, was arrested Wednesday morning.

An alert, anonymous citizen helped the U.S. Marshals arrest a man suspected of rape earlier this morning. Last week, the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force featured Bobby Thomas as its fugitive of the week. Thomas, 39, was wanted by the Lakewood Police Department for rape and kidnapping. According to a release from the task force, Thomas allegedly raped a child under the age of 14 multiple times between August and October 2012. The release notes that the U.S. Marshals received a number of tips regarding Thomas since he was featured, but none led them to his current location. At about 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals received an anonymous text that said Thomas was hiding in a home near the 3200 block of West 73rd Street in …

Man Wanted for Murder Turns Himself In

Keith Bush is wanted for murder.

Keith Bush, the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s current fugitive of the week, turned himself in Tuesday morning, Ryan Helfrich of the U.S. Marshals said in an email. After seeing himself on the news Monday night, Bush decided to turn himself in to the Cleveland Police, Helfrich said.  Bush is wanted for murder. Police: Murderer on the Run in Northeast Ohio

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Keith Bush, the task force’s fugitive of the week. Man Wanted for Murder Turns Himself In Bush is wanted for murder by the U.S. Marshals and the Cleveland Police, according to a press release from the task force. Allegedly, after an argument in May 2012, Bush shot a man in the chest. Bush, 20, is about 5’11” and 186 pounds. He’s thought to be hiding in the Cleveland area, and he used to live near the 12600 block of Phillips Avenue in East Cleveland. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force recently updated and released its list of the most wanted fugitives in the region. Their charges include homicide, rape and felonious assault. They should be considered dangerous. For more information about each fugitive in the “Dangerous Dozen,” click on their photo in the PDF above, or visit the task force’s website. Most of the men above were featured in the last most wanted list, but there is a new fugitive to replace a case that was closed. According to a press release from the task force, there have been 107 fugitives featured since this list began in May 2010. Man Accused in Rape of Minor Wanted By U.S. Marshals

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is seeking information on Bobby Thomas, a fugitive accused of the rape of a minor and kidnapping. According to a release from the task force, Thomas is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lakewood Police Department. Allegedly, Thomas raped a minor under the age of 14 multiple times between August and October 2012.  Thomas, 39, is about 5’10” and 240 pounds. Heroin Bust Yields 2 Arrests in Cuyahoga Falls

Kevin M. Matheny and Joshua M. Swigart, both of Cuyahoga Falls, were arrested Tuesday on multiple drug-related charges.

At 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Cuyahoga Falls Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 306 Kathron Ave. and arrested Kevin M. Matheny and Joshua M. Swigart. Police obtained the warrant after an investigation showed that Matheny was dealing heroin from the residence, according to Cuyahoga Falls Police Sgt. James Singleton. Matheny, 23, and Swigart, 18, both of Cuyahoga Falls, were arrested after they happened to drive up while police were on scene, said Singleton.  Drugs were found in the vehicle the men arrived in, which led to Swigart's arrest.  The U.S. Marshals Task Force and Summit County Drug Unit assisted local police in the drug bust. Fugitive Flees Police Wrong Way on I-90

Antonio Armstrong is the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force's fugitive of the week.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Antonio Armstrong, a wanted fugitive who was recently the subject of a police chase. Armstrong is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Willoughby Police Department for felonious assault on a police officer, according to a release from the task force.  On Jan. 7, a Willoughby police officer tried to stop Armstrong, who had gone to a local hotel to meet a prostitute, according to the release. Armstrong then fled the scene, nearly hitting an officer and intentionally running into a police car. He began driving the wrong way on Interstate 90, hitting another police car, until he crashed on East 185th Street in Cleveland. He then fled the scene on foot.  Armstrong was …

Police: Man Wanted for 'Brutal' Attack Against Pregnant Girlfriend

Christopher Johnson is the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force's fugitive of the week.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Christopher Johnson. Johnson is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Cleveland police for domestic violence, according to a release from the task force. Police say he attacked his pregnant girlfriend in August in what they call a “brutal attack.” He allegedly hit her with his hands and a set of pliers, and shoved her into a wall and onto the floor. Johnson fled when the police arrived.  Johnson, 21, is about 6’0” and 190 pounds. He’s thought to be hiding in the Cleveland area and used to live near the 15200 block of Maple Park Drive in Maple Heights.
