Do you know how many of your neighbors have a license to carry a concealed weapon? No? That’s because Ohio keeps those records private. The state releases a quarterly report of all the concealed carry licenses issued, renewed and suspended by county, but that’s as far as the breakdown goes. Information by city or zip code is not available. A representative from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office told Patch via email that the Ohio Revised Code allows journalists to view the list of license holders, but not to copy the information. The code defines the records as confidential. The case against pipe bomb suspect David A. Dougherty only seems to be getting stronger as Cuyahoga Falls Police hit him with additional felony counts and charges this week. Dougherty, 41, of Cuyahoga Falls, now faces two counts of possession of criminal tools, trafficking in drugs, weapons while under disability and three counts of possession of dangerous ordnance (explosives), according to stowmunicourt.com. He is also charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs, a fourth-degree misdemeanor; after police found a suspected marijuana grow operation in his residence. David A. Dougherty, 41, of Cuyahoga Falls, was arrested Saturday after the Summit County Bomb Squad found five pipe bombs and bomb making materials in his home, located at 1116 Washington Ave. Dougherty was charged with unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, a fifth-degree Felony; and illegal manufacturing or processing explosives, a second-degree felony, according to Cuyahoga Falls Police Lt. Steve Guldeman. On Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m., Cuyahoga Falls Fire and EMS requested backup when Dougherty resisted paramedics that had entered his home to treat him for a medical emergency. The crowds coming by car to Blossom Music Center hasn't changed over the years, and neither has the amount of aggravation to area residents. But one thing has changed for neighbors of the open-air entertainment venue: the freebies have disappeared. And with no change in sight, the frustrations are just a little harder to endure, neighbors say. Seth Dodds has lived by Blossom for much of his life. He grew up on Northampton Road and still lives on the same street, now with his own family. He recognizes the positives to having the venue in town and said it helps businesses in the area.
