Police: Woman Charged After Killing Pets

The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls Police reports dated Dec. 7-9. It does not indicate a conviction.

Cruelty to animals A 50-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman was charged with cruelty to animals on Dec. 9 after allegedly suffocating her two cats, according to a Cuyahoga Falls Police report.  Officers initially responded to her Kennedy Boulevard residence after she called 9-1-1 and reported she was suicidal, said police Sgt. Michael Heinl. When officers arrived, they found the dead animals, which she admitted to killing. The woman will be prosecuted on the misdemeanor charge in Stow Municipal Court.  Sticky fingers A man strolled into Sam's Club on Dec. 6, picked up a $700 Samsung security system and left the store without paying for it. It appears the unidentified thief opted for the 100-percent-off discount.

Police Blotter: Death Threat; Identity Fraud; and Breaking up Is Hard to Do

When a stranger started yelling at a man’s 17-year-old son on the 3000 block of Bailey Road, the father intervened. The belligerent man reportedly told the boy’s father that he was going to “beat him up and kill him,” according to a Falls police report. The threatened man wishes to prosecute for the menacing behavior. Disagreeable nanny A man called police at 8:30 a.m. Monday after a nanny refused to bring his young children to their Beacon Hill Circle apartment. The nanny returned the 4- and 1-year-old an hour later. The father has opted not to press charges. Steak bandit Sam’s Club reported Tuesday that on two separate occasions, a man walked into the super retailer and stuffed several steaks into his clothing. The choice cuts were …

  Gunpoint road rage Late Monday night, a man decided to end a traffic altercation by pulling a handgun. The man asked the motorist – whom he was arguing with – whether or not “he wanted to get shot tonight,” according to a Cuyahoga Falls police report.
