The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will battle it out for the Super Bowl on Sunday.
If you're a Cleveland Browns fan, you know that it's really going to be the "once-upon-a-time" Browns that will take the field against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Baltimore Ravens play in Super Bowl 47 on Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m on CBS (Channel 19-WOIO) It's the Ravens second Super Bowl appearance since 1996, when the late Art Modell moved the Browns from Cleveland to Baltimore. In that same span, Browns fans have suffered through years without football and a consistently lousy football team that boasts only one playoff appearance, ending in a heart-breaking loss to Pittsburgh. With all that said, who are you rooting for in the Super Bowl? Are there any Browns fans that will be rooting for the Ravens? Tell us why in the comments. Or …

A Q&A with Suellen Roberts, RD, LD
Food and Nutrition Services at Bolich Middle School.
Tell me about the progress of the garden and how much produce the students have to work with this season? The garden has done very, very well thanks to careful attention by our Americorp worker, Collen Poling, who volunteered to tend the garden and teach students each week about the items we were growing throughout the summer. We have lots of green beans, tomatoes, peppers, kale, basil and oregano. I know the students involved purchased a salad bar of some sort to serve up the veggies during lunch, how has this worked out during the lunch periods for beginning of this school year? We have ordered a salad bar using the grant money from Fuel Up to Play, a collaborative effort between the NFL and the American Dairy Association, Northeast, but…

Students planted a pizza garden in the spring to eventually share with the school cafeteria.
Two school gardens that were built by students in the spring are now sprouting veggies. In participation with the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, a NFL and National Dairy Council initiative to promote health for the next generation, the school used a $3,000 grant to build the pizza garden. The plan; to serve the fresh produce at a salad bar in the school’s cafeteria. The in-school program requires 60-minutes of daily activity and the availability of nutrient-rich food.

They spent the day sprucing up the landscaping and prepping two new pizza gardens.
They picked up shovels and rakes, and went to work. Students at Bolich Middle School gathered together to build two school gardens Saturday in participation with the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. The Fuel Up initiative, an alliance of the NFL and the National Dairy Council, promotes health of the next generation. The in-school program requires 60-minutes of daily activity and the availability of nutrient-rich food. The school was awarded a $3,000 grant to purchase a salad bar to show off its lucious produce and to pay for the gardening supplies. Students will plant the vegetables for the pizza gardens on May 27. The plan is to provide fresh ingredients often found on pizzas and additional veggies to snack on, like carrots.

Hi, Ron, Much as we'd like to have parties in each of our Patches, we don't have the staff to cover every one for an event like this, which will require at least four Patch employees to pull off. We'll be in Mentor for another type of event soon, and we hope you'll join us then. And we'd love to have you take part in our chat tonight. Thanks for commenting.   more ›
