Just for fun, we thought we'd resurface a blast from the past and ask, "Remember when Romney ordered a Wendy's frosty in the Falls?" Then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney strolled into the Cuyahoga Falls fast food restaurant in October, sat down with some strangers and stole a fry. "I won't double-dip; that's the other end," Romney told the diners in the YouTube video. The video was posted Oct. 10, 2012, after Romney's visit to Cuyahoga Falls the day before.

More voters chose Barack Obama than the candidate who stumped in the Falls. Take a look at the tallies for each precinct in Cuyahoga Falls — did your section of town vote Republican or Democrat?
Barack Obama won the national vote and he won in Ohio. And most of the voters in Cuyahoga Falls went the same way, selecting Obama as next president of the United States. According to unofficial results from the Summit County Board of Elections, 2,559 more Cuyahoga Falls voters picked President Barack Obama — who was re-elected Nov. 6, 2012 over his Republican challenger Mitt Romney. In Cuyahoga Falls, 13,382 voted for Obama and 10,823 voted for Romney. Only six precincts selected Romney. The Libertarian party's candidate, Gary Johnson, got 229 votes from Cuyahoga Falls. President Barack Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden were re-elected Tuesday night, defeating Republican challenger Mitt Romney and his vice-presidential running mate Rep. Paul Ryan. NBC News called the presidential election for Obama around 11:15 EST. The president sent a message on Twitter at 10:14 saying simply, "This happened because of you. Thank you." The Obama campaign won the most expensive presidential race ever, with both parties raising about $2.6 billion. President Barack Obama won Ohio’s 18 electoral votes on Tuesday, defeating Republican Mitt Romney. In the 2008 presidential election, the state voted for Barack Obama, and since the 1990s, has voted for the overall winner of the presidential race every time. Romney and Obama campaigned aggressively in Ohio. The state has typically been a battleground state in recent presidential elections. The economy was a key issue for many voters in the state, as was healthcare.
Ohio's voting goes until 7:30 p.m., but some polls elsewhere close later.

It’s finally Election Day, but Ohio—especially Northeast Ohio—isn’t out of the spotlight yet. Both the Obama and Romney campaigns made a stop in (the exact same spot of) Cleveland earlier today. CNN reports that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s plane landed at the airport earlier today. Shortly before noon, the plane for his vice presidential candidate, Paul Ryan, also landed. So did Vice President Joe Biden’s plane. With all the recent campaign stops in the area, this isn't surprising. The Washington Post's Election 2012 Blog reports that this has actually happened to the candidates three times in the past three days, including this past weekend in Cleveland. Candidate for president making a stop at the I-X Center on Sunday.
With the presidential race headed down the home stretch, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is making a stop in Cleveland on Sunday. As part of the “Rockin’ for Victory Rally,” Romney is scheduled to speak at the I-X Center at 2:15 p.m. Musical guests — including Rodney Atkins, Sam Moore and the Marshall Tucker Band — are scheduled to perform. According to a news release, all those in attendance “will go through airport-like security and should bring as few personal items as possible.” No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs will be allowed.
