With Chip Kelly off the board, where will Jimmy Haslam and Joe Banner go next?
Around this time last week, I wasn't very high on Chip Kelly becoming the Cleveland Browns next head coach. Yet somehow I spent too many moments of my weekend checking Twitter and ESPN to see if Kelly chose mashed or baked potatoes for his steak dinners with the Browns and Philadelphia Eagles. Finally, on Sunday The Plain Dealer reported the Browns "walked away" because Kelly wouldn't likely leave the University of Oregon. Sure. I believe it. Just like the nerd in high school who told everyone he just didn't think taking the homecoming queen to prom wasn't going to work out. She didn't say no; he just didn't think it was a good idea. No matter what Chip Kelly will stay in Oregon and Cleveland is back to square one. There are many names …

John, I did the same thing while researching what Kelly did or didn't do. We were both wrong... he had french fries with his steak! lol I don't think the Browns should push forward as hard as the seem to be to get this position filled. Unless there is a time constraint that I don't know about, they could begin the season with an interim (sp) head coach so that the same mistakes are not repeated … more ›
