The new restaurant is set to open this week in Cuyahoga Falls.
The Office Bistro and Lounge grand opening is set; the wait is almost over. The popular North Hill restaurant will open its second location in Cuyahoga Falls on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the new Watermark Building, according to Kyle Nelson, front of house manager at the Akron Office location. Doors open at 5 p.m. There will be “much continuity” between the existing and new locations, said Nelson. “Customers should expect a polished, casual atmosphere and American fare with a contemporary twist,” he said. The restaurant is set to accommodate a mix of patrons – from those who want to make it their neighborhood bar to those celebrating a special occasion. “There has been a lot of buzz about (the Office Bistro) and we are elated they will be …

The tentative grand opening date for the freaky fast sub shop is set for Tuesday, Oct. 2.
There's a new sandwich in town. Jimmy John's, the company behind "fresh, gourmet sandwiches, world class catering and freaky fast delivery," is set to open here in Cuyahoga Falls on Oct. 2. According to owner Randy Gipson, Jimmy John's delivers minutes after an order is placed, but your residence must be within a two-mile radius (or about five minutes driving time) of the sub shop, located at 677 Howe Ave. Those who want to carry out or dine in should expect to get their food within minutes or seconds of ordering it. Next Tuesday will mark the third Jimmy John's grand opening for Gipson and his wife, Karen, who also own locations in Alliance and North Canton. However, Gipson said the opening is contingent on whether he and general …

Move to new location promises higher draw.
Electronics retailer hhgregg staged a soggy grand opening Thursday at its new location, 430 Howe Ave. in the Plaza at Chapel Hill. General Manager Pat Meffert said the grand opening was going “pretty well so far.” He said the store was selling a lot of TVs, particularly 42- and 50-inch plasma screen TVs. “We’ve got a Samsung (42-inch TV) at $469,” Meffert said. Employees at the previous store moved with the store. It was an upgrade in the building and a move to a higher-traffic area, Meffert said, with nearby OfficeMax, Giant Eagle and Marc’s drawing potential customers. The soggy weather didn’t seem to deter customers too much Thursday afternoon, as a steady stream of people entered the store for a look and perhaps a purchase or two. “We'…
