Kevin M. Matheny and Joshua M. Swigart, both of Cuyahoga Falls, were arrested Tuesday on multiple drug-related charges.
At 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Cuyahoga Falls Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 306 Kathron Ave. and arrested Kevin M. Matheny and Joshua M. Swigart. Police obtained the warrant after an investigation showed that Matheny was dealing heroin from the residence, according to Cuyahoga Falls Police Sgt. James Singleton. Matheny, 23, and Swigart, 18, both of Cuyahoga Falls, were arrested after they happened to drive up while police were on scene, said Singleton. Drugs were found in the vehicle the men arrived in, which led to Swigart's arrest. The U.S. Marshals Task Force and Summit County Drug Unit assisted local police in the drug bust. An Akron man faces felony charges following a drug bust on Route 8. The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A traffic stop over the weekend turned into a drug bust after police discovered meth. Cuyahoga Falls Police report a patrol officer stopped a red, Dodge Neon at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, for speeding while traveling south on the State Route 8 Howe Avenue exit ramp. Police discovered the driver, Bright Rothhaas, 32, of Akron, was driving with suspended license and had a warrant out for his arrest in Tallmadge. Rothhaas was arrested after police found numerous items for manufacturing methamphetamine and the final product. Detectives from the Cuyahoga Falls Narcotics Unit, the Summit County Drug Task Force and the fire department responded to the incident, which shutdown the exit ramp for traffic for a little over an hour. A three-month investigation ends with three in handcuffs Friday morning.
Three Cuyahoga Falls residents are arrested following three-month drug trafficking investigation. Police and the SWAT team arrived at the scene early Friday morning with two search warrants and entered a home at 3001 Hudson Dr. Joshua R. Sadler, 18, was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana, a felony of the fifth degree. The SWAT team then moved on to a home next door, at 2983 Hudson Dr., near Kathron Avenue, where they arrested Calah Booker, 19, on three counts of trafficking marijuana, and cuffed Ryan Morgan, 22, on one count of trafficking marijuana.
