The Cuyahoga Falls movie theater is set to close in just a few weeks.
Plaza Cinemas at Chapel Hill will close on Jan. 3, reports the Akron Beacon Journal. The eight-screen multiplex will be shuttered after 25 years in business. According to the Akron Beacon Journal, "Cleveland Cinemas has been operating the theater under a management agreement with Plaza at Chapel Hill owner Visconsi Cos. Ltd., and Visconsi wants to find another use for the property." Plans for the property, located off Howe Avenue within The Plaza at Chapel Hill shopping center, remain uncertain. The retail chain will close its doors for good in March.
After 11 years in the Stow-Falls Center Plaza, Sears Hardware and Appliance will close in March. Located at 835 Graham Rd., the store began a liquidation sale Jan. 15. It will continue until March 20, the tentative date when the store will close, said Kim Freely, Sears Holding Corp.'s communications director. The store is closing because the corporation is not renewing its lease for the property. Sears will turn the store over on March 31, at which point all items not yet sold will be turned over to a liquidator, she said. you do realize the police officer is there probably in light of the Colorado movie theater shooting, so regal is just taking precautionary measures . if i'm hearing you correctly, you feel more safe at a movie theater without a police officer. its also probably cheaper for the establishment to hire police officers versus contracting an independent security business also   more ›
