Busted On Dec. 14, Cuyahoga Falls police pulled over a 49-year-old woman during a routine traffic stop on Lillis Avenue and found her to be intoxicated, according to a police report. Her blood alcohol level tested in at .136, significantly above the .08 legal limit. To make matters worse, the woman had two 17-year-old passengers in the car. As a result, officers arrested the woman and charged her with endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor. 150 beers to go A Giant Eagle security guard called police on Dec. 14 after a thief tried to slip by her with a shopping cart full of beer. Cruelty to animals A 50-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman was charged with cruelty to animals on Dec. 9 after allegedly suffocating her two cats, according to a Cuyahoga Falls Police report. Officers initially responded to her Kennedy Boulevard residence after she called 9-1-1 and reported she was suicidal, said police Sgt. Michael Heinl. When officers arrived, they found the dead animals, which she admitted to killing. The woman will be prosecuted on the misdemeanor charge in Stow Municipal Court. Sticky fingers A man strolled into Sam's Club on Dec. 6, picked up a $700 Samsung security system and left the store without paying for it. It appears the unidentified thief opted for the 100-percent-off discount.

They were all located on 15th, 16th or 17th street, Sunday, Jan. 22. More cars could have been broken into, but not reported. Police are looking into the situation. Theft

As reported to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Theft Jan. 17, the Giant Eagle at 230 Howe Avenue had $86.56 worth of merchandise stolen. It was later recovered. At the Natatorium, $850 was taken from a locked locker, Jan. 13. Burglary Two known people entered a house at 1791 Myrtle Avenue and stole a 46-inch Samsung LCD television. The people had been invited into the home at one time before the theft had occurred. The total loss is $1,000. Drug Abuse Jan. 17, at a routine traffic stop at Main Street and Howe Avenue, police found a person with marijuana and rolling papers. The man was issued citations to appeal at Stow Municipal Court.

As reported to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Jan. 10, a woman attempted to cash a counterfeit payroll check for $888.67 at an Akron Checksmart. She told officers responding to the call a false social security number, and admitted the check was forged. Police arrested her and her car was towed. Another forged check was found in her car, along with a bottle of hydrocodone and a bag of marijuana. Upon being taken to Summit County Jail, she had two counts of forgery, two counts of drug abuse and one count of obstructing official business. Drug Possession
