Walsh Jesuit High School

Founded in 1964, the first class of freshman of 153 students at Walsh Jesuit High School graduated in May of 1969.More Today, the private Catholic high school has close to 1,000 students enrolled each year. Students from eight counties in Northeast Ohio attend Walsh.

The division I sports teams compete with other private and public schools. The school has 14 varsity boys sports teams and 12 varsity girls sports teams and a cheerleading squad that tumbles, mounts and competes in local, state and regional competitions.

Walsh Jesuit has a strong alumni association that offers job search support and yearly group activities. 

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy- C.V.C.A.

Founded in 1968, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy's first classes were held at Crawford School in Cuyahoga Falls.More The school started out with almost 200 students and in 1975 transformed into a junior and senior high school for student enrolled in grades 7 -12.

C.V.C.A. was an extension of Chapel Hill Christian School, and today its campus sits on 70 acres off of Wyoga Lake Road in the Falls.

Christian and non-denominational religious classes are part of the curriculum for students. College prep and advanced placement classes are offered at C.V.C.A.

Community of Believers is an independent, non-denominational Christian church. It offers a number of ministries,More including ones for men, women, children and students, as well as fellowship groups.
Northminster Pre-School

Northminister Pre-School has been offering classes for young children since 1970.

While the school is locatedMore inside the Northminister Presbyterian Church, it does not include religion in its curriculum. A total of 11 teachers are on staff for the morning and afternoon classes for children ages 3 to 5. The popular Mom&Me program allows children as young as 2-and-a-half to attend with his or her parent or adult. 

"We have wonderful families that participate with their children," pre-school director Teresa Lance said.

Each school year the students are asked to participate in the Good Neighbors food drive. Lance said in 2010 the students performed "more than ever."

Students are taught on subjects ranging from math and reading to music and crafts. Each week students attend the school's library for story time or to check out books.
