After a two-week leave, I'm back to cover the news in Cuyahoga Falls. . .and to welcome any parental advice.

My daughter, Ava Mae Deike, started her first day on April 28, 2013 at 7:52 p.m. I mean, wow, talk about love at first sight as the nurse placed her in my waiting arms. Ava shot me a glance, whimpered and let out a few tears. Admittedly, I shed a few myself in my first minutes of fatherhood. Even though several days have passed, that initial, overwhelming joy surfaces every time I look at her. My wife, Jaclyn, and I couldn't be happier, and, as a proud parent, I wanted to take a minute to share little Ava with all of you.  Thank you for all the emails and social media support, the last two weeks have been an indescribable experience.
