Map of Soldier's Procession Route: Will You Line the Street Saturday?

The procession route where the fallen Stow soldier will travel Saturday is already lined with the city's flags.

Saturday's procession route has been set for Second Lt. David Rylander, 23, who was killed in Afghanistan May 2 from the funeral home to The Chapel in Akron. President of Redmon Funeral Home, Keith Redmon, said A FAMILY AND MILITARY PROCESSION ONLY will leave the funeral home on State Route 91 at 10:15 a.m. Saturday and go south to State Route 59. The procession will travel west on 59 to State Route 8 south and will exit at Buchtel Avenue in Akron. All others, please meet at the The Chapel (USE HAMILTON AVENUE) to form the procession to the cemetery. The funeral procession for Second Lt. Funeral Arrangements Made for Stow Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

Second Lt. David Rylander of Stow will be laid to rest Saturday with full military honors provide by the United States Army at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Family, friends, soldiers, the city and the nation are mourning for Second Lt. David Edward Rylander, 23, who died May 2, 2012. The Department of Defense announced May 8 that Second Lt. Rylander died of injuries sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 7th Engineer Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. The following information was supplied by Redmon Funeral Home: Born on Oct. 14, 1988 in Akron, David was a graduate of home school where he excelled academically. Onalee Lorraine Benesh, 92, Beloved Wife and Mother

Munson is survived by her many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  Onalee Lorraine Munson Benesh, 92, of Cuyahoga Falls, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 11 after a brief illness. Benesh was born in Randolph, MN on April 15, 1919 and was the only child to Martin and Emma Munson, according to the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home.  She was a 64 year resident of Cuyahoga Falls and long time member of Bethany United Church of Christ. Benesh worked at Bolich Middle School, as a secretary from the time it opened until her retirement at age 70 in 1989. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon, Patricia and Marjorie; grandchildren, Timothy, Julianne, Bryon, Shannon, Todd and Robyn; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home. …

Morgan passed away on Friday, March 9 after a long battle with cancer.

  Tracy Lee Morgan, 52, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away at her home on Friday, March 9 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Morgan was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and resided in the Falls for over 35 years, according to the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home.  She is survived by cousins, Raymond Morris, Wayne and Earl Romans; and special friend, David A. Howell.  A special thanks goes out to Margaret Daugherty, Amy Kinstlinger and the Hospice Staff for their special care. There will be no services, and the cremation has taken place. Charlene Calvin, 87, Lifetime Falls Resident, Beloved Mother

Calvin is survived by many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charlene H. Calvin, 87, of Cuyhoga Falls, passed away on Monday, Feb. 13. Calvin was born in Akron and had lived in the Falls since 1939. She was a 1943 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and had been active in planning class reunions, according to the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home.  She worked for Ameritech for 30 years and volunteered for nearly 20 years at St. Thomas Hospital. She was also a member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ. E. Ruth Woy, 93, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12. Woy was born in Clarksburg, WV, had resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life and graduated from Akron Central High School. Frank Stams, 79, Man of Adventure, Beloved Husband and Father

Stams passed away at his home on Friday, Feb. 3. He was 79.

  Frank Stams, 79, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on Friday, Feb. 3 at his home. Frank had a great sense of humor, a sharp wit and an ability to make every day an adventure, according to Hummel Funeral Homes and Crematories. Frank leaves behind his wife, Georgia; daughter, Kathryn; sons Steve and Frank; and grandkids, Rhiannon, Mason and Mikol. The cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 164 W. Market St., Akron 44303. The family will receive friends two hours prior to Mass at the church.
