The Cuyahoga Falls Fire Station No. 2 is located off of High Street near the end of Portage Trail. The station was added back in 1949 to help serve the residents on the east end of town. At the time, the east portion of the city was isolated, because of the railroad tracks under the Portage Trail bridge. A minimum of three firefighters are on hand at all times for responding to emergencies.
