Viewfinder: Tending to Adopt-A-Spot Garden

The Summit DD- Cuyahoga Falls Center walks up to its Adopt-A-Spot garden at the Natatorium each week to water the flowers.

The Summit DD- Cuyahoga Falls Center’s garden is one of the 89 Adopt-A-Spot sites across the city.

Volunteers and organizations participate in the city’s Adopt-A-Spot Beautification Program each year. The program started back in 1988 when a handful of groups assisted the city gardener plant flowers in the Falls.

Today, hundreds of volunteers donate their time to plant flowers and maintain beds each year. Donations from area businesses help to cover the costs of purchasing flowers and supplies.
