The 2012 Relay for Life steps off this weekend at and organizers are just putting the finishing touches on what should be a worthwhile and memorable fundraising event.

The community is encouraged to come out for the opening ceremonies Saturday at 9 a.m., said organizer Terri Reinhold.
Highlights include: boxing champion Shawn Porter, numerous games and activities, a luminaria service at dusk and, last but not least, the relay itself.
