“There’s been a car show in Cuyahoga Falls for many years,” Syx said. “Don Sitts took it over (in 2005) and, to his credit, it’s grown from a small show with 40 cars to well over 200 cars every week.”

The Riverfront Cruise In has its own website that features the season’s calendar, photos and updates about each weekly show, as well as a spot for attendees to post testimonials.

This cruise in season started with a bang.

“What a way to start off the first night at Riverfront. With a record crowd of over 300 cars, we still fit every cruiser in. The weather was perfect and the food vendors were there in full capacity. The 50/50 raffle of over $700 in the jackpot was won by a first-time attendee,” it was reported on the site.

A Falls resident named Mandy posted a testimonial saying, “Best Car Show around!!! The Mall is always filled to the brim with amazing cars. It really is the Best of the Best!!!!!”

Syx agrees.

“It’s a really cool event,” she said. “They have theme nights, they have DJs that announce events and play music and there are raffle prizes. It’s free and open to public – it’s a great family event.”

Check out the traffic signal graphic on the Riverfront Cruise In website each Monday to ensure that the event has not been cancelled that day due to inclement weather.
