Festa Italiana Brings European Culture to Falls' Doorstep

The annual event runs from July 19-21 throughout Falls River Square.

Participants of this year's Festa Italiana will likely arrive to enjoy a little Italian fare, listen to live music and maybe try their luck at the Texas Hold 'em poker tournament.

But, according to Cuyahoga Falls Deputy Development Director Jennifer Syx, there's much more fun to be had the whole family can enjoy.

"The entire weekend is packed full of activities from pinatas (pignatta - in Italian) for kids, strolling musicians, grape stomping, bocce ball, wine making, entertainers from Italy, a Catholic mass and even a zumbathon," she said.

When not caught up in an activity, folks can sample homemade meatball sandwiches, grilled Italian sausage stromboli, pizza, popular pasta dishes and more.

The event runs from 4 p.m. to midnight on July 19, noon to midnight on July 20 and noon to 9 p.m. on July 21 at Falls River Square.
