Farmers Market Opens Today at New Spot

Fresh local produce can be found at intersection of Third and Oakwood, across from Natatorium.

The opens this afternoon at a new spot: the northwest corner of Third Street and Oakwood Drive.

Situated directly across Oakwood from the Natatorium and City Hall parking lot, the market will be open 3-7 p.m.

“This location is more accessible and safer for pedestrians as it is not used by the public as much as other parking areas,” Susan Truby, director of development, said on the city's website.  “The new location also allows for more vendors to be able to participate.”

New this year to the Cuyahoga Falls Farmers Market is Trigo, a new bakery in Cuyahoga Falls, along with some new produce vendors. Also available are breads, jellies, scented candles and homemade cupcakes.

To become a vendor at the Falls Farmer’s Market, contact the Development Department at 330-971-8142.

With the market running into October and Cuyahoga Falls football fans not being allowed to park in the natatorium lot, this will cause more difficulty on game night to find a parking spot. Market runs to 7 PM, game starts at 7 PM and this makes parking a necessity in the 6 PM time range.
