Summa Western Reserve Hospital Honors RNs During Nurses Week

Summa Western Reserve Hospital recently hosted its annual Nurses Week Awards Celebration on May 8th as part of National Nurses Week. Celebrated May 7 – 12 this year, the week consists of National Nurses Day on May 8th and nursing pioneer, Florence Nightingale’s birthday on May 12.

On May 8th, the Summa Western Reserve Hospital nursing staff enjoyed chair massages and light refreshments throughout the day. Highlighting the day’s events was a special Nursing Awards Presentation and Luncheon to recognize all of the hospital’s Nursing Excellence nominees and Nursing Excellence winners.

 “The dedication of the nursing team toward patients, families and our hospital is outstanding,” said Suzanne Gill, RN, Chief Nursing Officer for Summa Western Reserve Hospital. “I cannot do enough to thank everyone for their commitment to provide the highest quality of compassionate care to our patients and their families at every encounter.”
