agreed !
YOUR BEST FRIEND June 30, 2012 at 05:25 pm
He said he worked hard for the cavs that might be true but only for 3 quarters
lumumba57 June 30, 2012 at 06:42 pm
How has Cleveland been doing since he left? I thought so!!!
Nick June 30, 2012 at 10:32 pm
you couldnt be more wrong....just a sore loser you are. Lebron gave Cleveland more winning in his time there than any other player in team history. Mark Price never made the finals.....you're just an unappreciative person. Go back to your sorry life and leave Lebron out of it. Yeah Cleveland went right back to sucking when he left because obviously there was a crap team around him. Dan Gilbert needs to realize he didn't do much to get a good team by building practice facilities and showering Lebron with unnecessary things when they should have been spending money on players (Jamario Moon?, Flip Murray? Washed up Shaq?) You've probably never played a sport in your life past pee wee league so go sit down....

It's funny, but most of us have gotten over LeBron and his grandstanding "Decision", but he himself brings it up constantly. I just don't care anymore-what he does or says doesn't impact my life in any way. I have WAY bigger things to concern myself with these days. We've moved on dude-you should too.
Becky Slam June 30, 2012 at 10:57 pm
Really funny that LeBron is the most commented on subject in Stow Patch that I've ever seen. I agree that Gilbert's remarks were uncalled for. LeBron is young and still learning how to handle himself as the most scrutinized player in NBA history. Gilbert should have known better. LeBron, love him or hate him, is still one of the best things ever to happen to Cleveland and a polarizing figure.

Becky, you've missed some stories with a lot of comments then! For example: http://patch.com/A-qTcb and http://patch.com/A-v8Gr and many, many more.

I really do need to stop giving any more precious time to thoughts of LeChoke. Thank you, Patch for giving me the opportunity to give the final one. We had lots of enjoyment and pride from watching while he was here. Personally, I just enjoy some entertainment and seeing my son happy. There is no doubt the Cavs were amazing and exciting to watch while he was here and I along with most people wished him the best in his future. It was absolutely the way he went about it. It brought up many questions to the surface in my mind about sports in general. The disappointment to the kids here and the messages it sends. Thinking about the amount of time and money that's spent on sports and the hype surrounding it literally makes me sick to my stomach sometimes. How much time and energy and reporting surrounding every move these guys make, their every play in every game, the trades, their worth, their decisions and huge egos and the things they do on and off the court. Our tv is almost always on ESPN and it boggles my mind how they make huge stories out of everything. Nuff said. Hope I don't get sucked in to caring about NBA basketball again!

Gilbert's letter was awful and childish. It hurt MY feelings.
Tom Tucker July 1, 2012 at 03:28 pm
But, on the flip side, companies that replace kicked-out windows from police cars have been struggling since.... ;)
Tom Tucker July 1, 2012 at 03:29 pm
"How has Cleveland been doing since he left? "
Actually, not as bad as many people predicted. But, thanks for leaving such an ignorant comment that made me laugh. AT YOU!
Tom Tucker July 1, 2012 at 03:29 pm
Has someone called a WAAAAAAAA-bulance for LBJ yet?
Becky Slam July 1, 2012 at 03:38 pm
Amanda, I sure have missed some of the most-commented upon stories! Thanks for bringing me up to date.
joe simonton July 1, 2012 at 04:37 pm
for those of you who are unaware S.trevor is dating lebrons mom, and his opinion should only be taken with a grain of salt
WTcommensense July 1, 2012 at 05:22 pm
Funny how anyone thinks one guy can win a championship? As a Cav Lebron was surrounded by average NBA level players. With the HEAT he is surrounded by great players. Why couldn't he bring them to Cleveland? Lets ponder that...
Rick Bonath July 1, 2012 at 08:05 pm
Well, if Gilbert hurt Le Who's feelings, all I can say is Gilbert may have! How long ago was that? As everyone has been saying, it's the attention-seeking way he left for Miami. Plus the fact of how and when this scheme was devised. Gilbert responded in the same fashion we all responded to the news. Highly ticked off! Gilbert should have been given some type of respect but that didn't happen.
As for me, LeWho can stay in Miami or anywhere else but I hope he and his head games don't come back to Cleveland except to play against us. Win, loose or draw it will make no difference to me. I also read that LeWho wasn't sure what to do with his ring... That's just to bad but I can tell him what he CAN do with it!
Carol Murphy July 1, 2012 at 10:27 pm
Time to forget him and his childish comments.
John Meola July 2, 2012 at 12:54 am
Boo! Hoo! What a no-good cry-baby.
Cavsfan4ever July 2, 2012 at 06:55 am
Gilbert's letter hurt HIS feelings? Really? But his hour long, self agrandizing, egocentric "Decision" did nothing to incite Gilbert? Oh, please give me a break! Yes, Gilbert should NEVER have indulged himself in that immature rant but then again LeBron ought to have acted like an adult and given Gilbert the news personally. So let's tally the score; Gilbert hurt the feelings of one person - LeBron hurt the feelings of tens of thousands. What am I missing?
MISFAN July 2, 2012 at 07:19 am
I don't begrudge Lebron on his move to Miami. I thought he handled his departure very poorly. In his last few years here, everyone thought we were looking for his "Scottie Pippen" when in actuality we were in search of his "Michael Jordan".
Ms Ann July 2, 2012 at 09:24 am
Get over sore looser fans!! The man was a free agent he had the right to do whatever he wanted to do, and if the city invested in bringing talent to our city he would not have had to leave!! He is the only reason why ESPN and TNT and other major networks came here!! Man up and write your politicians and organization owners who take our cigarette and pop money and line their pockets instead of building a great team for winning!!! Smh.. Congrads Lebron you deserved it!!
Brandon Scullion July 2, 2012 at 12:46 pm
One would think that if you were going to chastise people for having feelings one way or another, you might consider proofing your post.
Paul Grimm July 2, 2012 at 02:27 pm
What is a "sore looser"? It sounds like a scab that's ready to fall off, but I don't think that's what you meant.
wmfr July 2, 2012 at 02:59 pm
Why does Lebron get all the hate? I dislike the guy and always have even before "the decision".
But It was Gilberts fault for letting everything get out of control, he allowed a player to hold his franchise hostage and not sign an extension and instead of trading him mid season - which is what every single team does when a player is about to opt out ( clippers offered blake griffin and first rd lottery pick ) the cavs decided to roll the dice and it backfired. So Gilbert gets offended and writes an unprofossional letter posted about ethics and betrayal!!! LOL - this is the same guy in business of home loans, Now that's funny.
Cee Jay July 2, 2012 at 08:10 pm
WOW "wmfr", what did LeBron ever do to you for you to dislike him? And for the rest of you haters, if you were given the choice of going after something bigger & better for yourself & your family, some of you wouldn't care how you went about it either. Yes he could have made his move differently, but he didn't. Congrats, LeBron, for going after the dream you've had for years!
wmfr July 2, 2012 at 08:17 pm
So I am a " hater " if I dislike an athlete? or is it if I don't afree with you Cee Jay I am a hater?
I can care less if LBJ is here or plays in Germany, or the moon. I've never liked him and I have that right, I am not a sheep like some. I form my own opinions on people and do not like Lebron James. So go on and idiolize LBJ but learn to respect the opinions of others =-)

If you are a young contract worker with a family, making mediocre money for a fortune 10,000,000,000 company and your contract is up do you hang out hoping for a better contract and pray your company invests in better team players so your company's rankings improve? Or...since you are young, have a family to feed, and desire a better career and chance to advance with a company, do you go with a Fortune 500 company with profit sharing, better benefits, better management, bonuses and incredible team players?? Think about it...!! We still get his tax money here, he still invests in our kids and gives back to NE Ohio constantly through many charities and functions. Personally, I'm glad he left and got his ring. Dan Gilbert is just like the rest of the Cleveland team owners...CHEAP!! I don't see any of them even close to being champions because they won't invest in their players!!
Casey D September 25, 2012 at 04:57 am
I'm not sure Dan Gilbert became one of the most successful businessmen today by being cheap... Ahahaha. Dan Gilbert has built his businesses on loyalty, respect and great teamwork. All redeeming qualities of which Lebron James clearly lacks. Listen... It's not his fault he's got few inherently good qualities or morals.... You don't get "pairs" from apple trees GLORIA! Now there's a class act. If I had my choice... I would pick Dan Gilbert any day.... "a family to feed".... Haha! Lisa V must be a young naive recent college grad..... He took LESS money to go to Miami!! N

Just amazes me that people can't take responsibility, blame everyone else because they are too lazyRead More to be aware of what is going on, if you are that concerned about flag day, then you would think you would know when it is or just google it, all the information is available, it is so sad how our country has the blame everyone else attitude, wake up and take personal responsibility

Nolan,Why should a person even have to check a calendar to see when a holiday is. The media blastsRead More relentlessly on everything else that doesn't amount to a hill of beans. Yet when it comes to flying the flag the are MUM. That is what I am talking about. Like Dean said. Maybe peoplw don't display flags because they didn't know. Dean, what's the media for, if not getting the word out? Are they there to just sit on their butts and let people wonder what they really do? Talk about being responsible, I think the media should be responsible for getting the word out. They need to do something for their pay.

We were very fortunate to have the Humane Society take them. They should be available for adoptionRead More soon. I am just deeply saddened that people can do something like this with no concern for the dogs' welfare and to thrust that responsibility onto others who can't stand by and do nothing.
