High Bridge Glens Book Signing Books-A-Million

High Bridge Glens book signing March 31 at Books-A-Million

There will be a book signing for the newly released High Bridge Glens of Cuyahoga Falls on Saturday, March 31 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Books-A-Million (BAM!), 335 Howe Avenue, in Cuyahoga Falls.  (This site was previously Borders book store.)

The High Bridge Glens book, written by local historian and Cuyahoga Falls native Mary McClure, is a pictorial history of the park that made Cuyahoga Falls a Victorian-era travel sensation.

High Bridge Glens, which was located at Front and Prospect streets, was once considered the "Niagara of Ohio." The park is also said to have had one of the first roller coasters in the United States.

At the height of its popularity, the park attracted more than 8,000 visitors a day - not bad considering the town's entire population was a little more than 2,000 residents at that time.
