The Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) hockey team opened its regular season at "The Pond" against Kenston on Saturday, 5-3.
The CVCA hockey team proved that they are well-suited to compete in the
White Division, as they earned a hard-fought victory against a solid Kenston team.
Prior to this year, CVCA played in the Blue Division, moving up in each of the last three years.

The Royals were led by team captain Mark Sunde who finished the night with four goals and an assist.
Luke Sunde chipped in with a goal and three assists.

Tucker Anderson added two assists and Will Anderson picked up an assist as well.
Senior goalie Jonah Savitt continued his strong play stopping 34 shots.
The Royals came out hitting and played strong team defense in securing the win.
CVCA's next match will be against Kent-Roosevelt at Kent State University.
