To avoid a $5 million deficit projected for the 2013-14 school year, Woodridge Treasurer Deanna Levenger told the West Side Leader that the district will need to ask for $2.85 million on Nov. 8 general election ballot to stay out of the red.

The deadline for the district to file the ballot issue is Aug. 10.

The estimate is slightly less than the 6.7 mill request the district removed earlier this year, which would have generated $3.25 million over five years.
