Woodridge School Board Moves Forward with Fall Levy

After removing the emergency levy in May, the Board of Education votes to submit a levy request to the Summit County Board of the Elections.

Now that the Woodridge Board of Education knows how much state funding it will lose, board members voted Wednesday night at its special meeting to move forward and place a $2.85 million emergency levy on the fall ballot.

Superintendent Walter Davis estimates the dollar amount will equate to a 5.89 mill levy in November.

If approved by voters, it will cost the owner of a $100,000 home $206.50 each year. State budget cuts for the district are estimated at $1.4 million.
