What was your career path leading up to your current job?

Find out what's happening in Cuyahoga Fallswith free, real-time updates from Patch.

I knew I always wanted to be either a teacher or a nurse. Both of those careers really interested and excited me. I chose the teaching profession because I love children, and at the time my roommate was a nursing major who always studied...teaching came easy to me so I went in that direction.

What does your job entail, and what is your career goal?

I teach 3rd grade at ECOT. It's an online school and it's awesome. I get to be a mom and a teacher at the same time. I teach from home and I am still there for my girls if there is something at school, or if someone needs me. It's a lot of work, but it's a fair trade to get to be with my three girls. I am hoping to be starting at in the fall to earn my masters in clinical counseling. I hope to someday use my masters to help my students.

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment is my family. I have three smart beautiful girls and the greatest husband there is! I feel lucky to have three healthy, happy girls!

What’s your favorite high school memory?

That is tough. I loved high school. I guess probably the prom. Everyone was happy and we all just danced and didn't care. I had so much fun in high school it is hard to pick one.

What advice would you give to future graduates?

I would tell future grads to remember you can learn to do anything. This is your beginning. Enjoy every second and remember to have some fun along the way.
