Fresh Faces in Administration Will Greet Returning Students

Falls School Board hires new human resources director, teaching and learning coordinator, assistant principal.

The experienced several administrative personnel changes during summer months, in addition to the leadership of .

The school board July 25 unanimously approved a two-year administrative contract with its new director of human resources, Michael Englert, at an annual salary of $93,100. Englert, is former assistant superintendent for Firelands Local School District.

Paula Snyder, former human resources director for the school district whose contract ended July 31, resigned in June to accept the same position for the Orange City School District. Snyder’s annual salary with the school district had been $89,346.

The school board July 25 also unanimously approved a two-year administrative contract as coordinator of its Department of Teaching and Learning with Amy Hayward, former assistant principal at Bolich Middle School, at an annual salary of $77,936. Hayward’s previous salary as assistant principal had been $61,328.

Karen Rumley, former coordinator of teaching and learning whose contract with the school district ended July 31, resigned to accept a position with Summit County Educational Services Center. Rumley’s annual salary with the school district had been $78,663.

Replacing Hayward as assistant principal at Bolich Middle School is James “Ike” Holzpfel, a former math teacher with the Tallmadge City School District. The school board Aug. 8 unanimously approved a two-year administrative contract with Holzpfel at an annual salary of $61,170.

Each contract approved by the school board became effective Aug. 1.
