If the board is unable to select a candidate before the 30-day period is up, the decision will then be made by the Summit County Probate Court, said board vice president Kellie Patterson.

The nine candidates the board is considering are:

  • David Devany
  • Bruce Endlich
  • Esther Harnack
  • Dean Hull
  • Wes Johnston
  • Mark Modic
  • Mike Penta
  • Bob Pyke
  • Karen Schofield
