School Garden at Bolich Middle School

Bolich Middle School students and staff will be preparing garden beds and planting two school gardens.  Bolich  was awarded a grant to purchase garden supplies and tools from Fuel Up To Play 60 which is a partnership between the NFL and the American Dairy Association Northeast.  Ameracore volunteers will be assisting the students with the work. Students will be planting a "Pizza Garden" .  This  type of garden grows vegetables and herbs that go into making a pizza.  A Salad Bar will be purchased to display and serve the produce that is grown at the school with part of the grant funds.  The dirt has been donated by the City of Cuyahoga Falls and compost has been donated by the City of Akron Composting Facility.
