Cuyahoga Falls Schools Aim to Correct Diploma Faux Pas

Cuyahoga Falls High School graduates never realized they lived in "Cayahoga Falls, Ohio." Hey, mistakes happen.

Whoops.

Nearly 350 diplomas were handed out to the Class of 2013 Tuesday; unfortunately, some of them contained a major spelling error, according to a picture emailed to Patch by Amy Hessel, a frustrated Cuyahoga Falls High School parent.

Jostens, the company contracted to provide the leather-bound diploma covers, inadvertently inscribed "Cayahoga Falls, Ohio" on the front.

The high school stamp on the diploma itself also contained a misspelling of the city's name, said Hessel.

Good news is, Jostens will replace the covers and ship them to students free of cost, reports the Falls News-Press
