Describing himself as someone who is adventurous and likes to try new things, Mason said he would like to study abroad while at college.

“I would like to study abroad in Italy if I could, probably because of what I’ve learned in Latin Club,” he explains. “Italy has always been a country I’ve liked more than others. I know a lot of their history, so it would be cool to go there and see the ruins in real life.”

Mason said he is looking forward to a new beginning as he starts college in the fall.

“Everything will be a new experience for me,” he says. “I don’t know anyone who is going to The University of Illinois. It’ll be exciting being on my own and having to make new friends. And studying higher level engineering classes, too.”
