College Bound Students Get Financial Boost from Chamber of Commerce

The Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of its 2013 college scholarships.

Five area students are receiving scholarship money from the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce because of their proved scholastic achievements.

A special committee within the chamber of commerce reviews the applications and the top students get calls for a formal interview. Click here to see the men and women who are on the committee. 

Based on scholastic achievement and financial need, here are the five scholarship recipients this year, according to an announcement on the chamber's website:

  • Elizabeth “Liz” Hoenigman, Cuyahoga Falls High School attending Eastern Kentucky University
  • Leigha McCauley, Cuyahoga Falls High School attending Ohio State
  • Emily Scupholm, Our Lady of the Elms attending Bluffton University
  • Douglas Savage, Cuyahoga Falls High School attending Hocking College
  • Mikaela Monteith, CVCA attending Grove City College
