Riverfront Curfew Keeps Violations Down

Cuyahoga Falls police share thoughts on the new curfew's effectiveness since its start in May.

Cuyahoga Falls police report the number of violations along the riverfront are down by a great deal thanks to the .

Captain Jack Davis of the said that through mid-July in 2010, police had 30 documented calls. Through mid-July in 2011, that number has been reduced to four.

"It's made a huge difference," Davis said. "Kids are still coming down with their parents, but kids are also coming down and leaving before 8 p.m.

It's made a big difference with police patrol. [Officers] are able to concentrate on what they're their for and not chasing kids around the area all night."
