Consumers rejoice: construction is finally underway at Portage Crossing.

Developer Stark Enterprises estimates construction on the $42 million, 240,000-square-foot project is expected to take roughly two years to complete.

Who's the weird one from the city who decided to pave State Rd the way they have ?Tires, rims are taking a beating not to mention the cars that are trying to avoid the manhole covers. Not only why did they start this stupid repaving before the so called 2 year lemon of a shopping mall was finished but only do half of it. When is the other half scheduled, when the Mall is finally finished????????????????

This whole project is a hot mess. The changes to the roads are terrible and building has yet to be started. I would rather still have the old plazas. Most of State Road is scary and falling apart...why hasn't Good O'le Don taken that stuff over?

Navigating the intersection of Portage Trail and State Rd. is scary; there are weird, misplaced concrete islands and just enough room to go around, but when the road is slippery in the winter, I can guess how many cars will crash into them. I work at Ascot Pkwy. and getting to work through all these obstacles, as well as the horrible traffic, is maddening. NO MORE CONSTRUCTION IN THE STATE/BATH RD AREA!!
