Police Blotter: Break-In at Emidio's, Theft Across Town

The following arrest information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Breaking and entering

An Emidio's employee told police that between June 16 and 17 someone broke into the restaurant at 3204 State Rd. by prying open a window of the building. The person broke into an empty cash register and a cash box which had $500 inside.

  • A 73-year-old woman who lives in the 3400 block of Antoinette Dr. told police that someone took her four foot tall pine tree from the corner of her yard and replaced it with a smaller pine between June 16 and June 17.
  • A 21-year-old Mentor man told police he parked his car in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Munroe Falls Ave. at 10 p.m. on June 17. When he came back to his car in the morning, the front passenger side window was broken. A black colored book was the only thing taken from the car.
  • A 33-year-old woman told police that someone she knows stole 65 loose stones, 10 pure silver dimes and two jewelry boxes  from her purse on June 17 at 8 a.m. The victim told police that she keeps her purse in her bedroom.
  • A security guard told police that a 42-year-old Akron woman bagged a cart full of groceries in an aisle and tried to walk out of the store without paying on June 19 at 3:45 p.m.
