Pallotta, Penta Advance to Nov. 5 Election Day Showdown

Read on for the latest local election details.

And then there were two.

Republican Vic Pallotta and Democrat Mike Penta beat out their respective opponents in the Sept. 10 primary, making them the final pair vying for Cuyahoga Falls City Council's Ward 3 seat.

According to unofficial results posted by the Summit County Board of Elections, Pallotta beat out nominee Arden Barnhart by a tally of 242 to 158 votes, and Penta defeated nominee Michael Michelli by 83 to 39 votes.

Pallotta, who was appointed as the interim Ward 3 councilman in June following Ken Barnhart's resignation, and Penta, a civic activist who formerly ran for a Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education seat, will face off for the council seat on Nov. 5.
