LOOK: Cuyahoga Falls City Council Names New President

With an 11-0 vote, Cuyahoga Falls City Council passed a motion on Monday naming Don Walters as president.

For the second time in just over a decade, Don Walters was named president of the Cuyahoga Falls City Council.

The councilman, who's in the middle of serving his sixth term in Ward 6, let out a smile after Mayor Don Robart swore him into the leadership role. 

"I'm honored," said Walters who also served as president in 2003. "I'll run a good meeting and go by the books."

Walters, 49, is a Falls native and a 1981 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School.

Additional officers will be sworn in during Council's Jan. 14 meeting.
