It's Official: Library and City School Districts File Levy Ballot Issues

Voters will have the final say on levies in May.

Both the and the met the 90 days filing deadline with the Summit County Board of Elections on February 2. Both join the Woodridge School District levy, which will be placed on the May 3 ballot.

  • The is asking voters to approve a five year, 9.97 mill replacement levy. It's expected to generate about $8 million in new revenue each year if it's passed. This would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $305 each year.
  • The has placed a 6.7-mill levy on the May ballot to avoid a $5 million deficit projected for the 2013-14 school year. The levy is expected to generate about $3.25 million over five years. If approved, taxpayers would be asked to dish out $205 each year.
  • The five year, 1.9 mill levy, which would generate about $1.5 million. This would cost the owner of a $100,000 home close to $58 each year.
